DUM is now in the top 20 food trucks in the bay area by SF Chronicle
DUM FOOD TRUCK is Indian Soul food with a punch of flavors. San Francisco Chronicle calls us THE BEST BIRYANI in San Francisco. The article says
"Chef Rupam Bhagat bills his food as “Indian soul food.” It’s a moniker that doesn’t truly resonate until you dig into an overflowing plate of his chicken biryani or the stuffed-to-the-brim kati rolls. The spices, the complexity, the generous portions — it’s not even close: The Dum truck is the best Indian food truck in the region, and certainly one of the best overall."
Every bite is a unique experience that awakens your palate – its sweet, sour, salty and spicy with aromas that remind you of the busy streets of India.
DUM FOOD TRUCK will serve biryani, layers of rice & protein with spices & fresh herbs. Biryani has been integral part of Indian culinary repertoire. It has been a staple item on every Indian restaurant and even at homes. There are various versions of biryani and every region has its own interpretation. Biryani will be served with the sides of Raita or slaw of cucumber, onion, and tomato.
Primary focus of the truck will be biryani, other menu options such as Chicken Kathi Roll, Summer Salad, Dahi Papdi Chaat etc…will also be offered. All the items on the menu has a healthy initiative with most of them being gluten – dairy free, along with a focus on utilizing fresh local ingredients.
